Test method
Testing was performed using a BM-III pendulum friction tester. The British Pendulum Tester is a dynamic instrument that measures energy lost as a slider travels across a test surface. The result is expressed as a British Pendulum Number, or BPN.
BPN represents friction measured using the particular apparatus and procedure. It should not automatically be assumed to correlate with other friction-measurement systems.
