Construction differences in the tested samples
The Zero Give pair measured 18 g lighter, or 23.7% lower in pair weight. Its full-sock toe measurement was 1.21 mm lower, or 26.4% thinner, and its cuff measurement was 1.90 mm lower, or 30.2% thinner.
Friction-test result
Across four repeated tests per sock, Zero Give averaged 75 BPN and APEX averaged 35 BPN. The Zero Give numerical result was approximately 2.14 times the APEX BPN under this test setup. That ratio describes the instrument readings only.
What the comparison supports
Within the measured sample set, Zero Give had lower physical bulk and a higher mean pendulum friction reading. The test does not establish that a lower-weight or higher-BPN sock automatically improves a player's speed, skill or match outcome.
